The night watchman takes you back 800 years, into medieval times. Munich is a small city, no more than 400 meters in diameter, surrounded by a protective wall. From dusk till dawn, the gates are closed, and citizens must stay at home. The only light visible in the dark streets is the lantern of the night watchman, who keeps watch for any dangers to the townsfolk. People know little and believe much, as most cannot read or write. They are superstitious, and life is governed by the "divine order" Join the night watchman on his journey through the "City of the Monks". Listen to his stories about medieval life, from the cradle to the grave.
